VNB monitors developments in the EU and provides information about opportunities and challenges for West Norway.
Norway has a close cooperation with the EU through the EEA Agreement and a wide range of other agreements. This cooperation affects local communities and institutions in West Norway Decisions made in the EU have an impact on us – both in the form of new opportunities and new challenges. It is therefore important to be aware of them as early as possible.
VNB is the eyes and ears of the region in the EU, with the goal of getting relevant information home in a timely manner. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that decision-makers in Western Norway are updated and well prepared. VNB provides insight through newsletters, technical notes and webinars, in addition to courses, lectures and events.
The Europabrevet is the monthly newsletter from VNB. Here you will find analyses and updates on the most important processes in the EU, with particular emphasis on what is relevant to Western Norway. You will also receive news from the VNB network and an overview of European cooperation in the region.
Through the Europabretet you will also receive information about VNB's events and courses.
Anyone can subscribe to the Europabrevet, although some articles will only be available to users affiliated with VNB's member organizations.
VNB regularly publishes technical notes on EU and EEA-related topics that are particularly relevant to West Norway It may be analyses of decisions made in Brussels, updates on political processes in the EU or practical reviews of programs and application opportunities that may be important for VNB's members.
Briefing Series to VNB is only available to those who are affiliated with one of VNB's member institutions, for example as an employee or local authority.
VNB Direkte is the monthly webinar for VNB members. Here, VNB employees or external professionals present on current topics, and there is an opportunity for discussion and questions.
VNB Direkte addresses both political issues and important decisions that are on their way into the EU system, as well as more practical topics that concern members' opportunities to seek funding and partnerships in Europe.
