As a member of the Western Norway Brussels Office, you gain access to knowledge, networks and opportunities in Europe. We help members understand developments in the EU and EEA, find relevant cooperation partners and funding programmes, and promote Western Norwegian interests in Brussels.
Who can become a member?
Municipalities, county authorities, knowledge institutions and other public actors in Western Norway can become members of VNB.

Insight and information
Get relevant information about developments in the EU and EEA through newsletters, technical notes, events and advice.
Network and representation
Gain access to European networks and relevant environments in Brussels, and be represented in matters that are important to Western Norway.
Projects and financing
Get help finding relevant EU programs, funding schemes and European cooperation partners.
Visits and competence building
Get help planning professional visits to Brussels, and participate in seminars, meeting places and other competence initiatives.
What does membership cost?
The operation of VNB is financed through an annual service fee from its members.
Bets for 2026:
Municipalities and county authorities:
Municipalities: NOK 5.59 per inhabitant
County municipalities: NOK 2.77 per inhabitant
Colleges:
NOK 100,000 for up to 3,999 students
NOK 125,000 for up to 7,999 students
NOK 180,000 for up to 11,999 students
NOK 220,000 for up to 14,999 students
NOK 250,000 for over 15,000 students
Research Institute:
NOK 50,000 for 0-50 man-years
NOK 100,000 for 51-200 man-years
NOK 150,000 for 201-500 man-years
NOK 150,000 for 201-500 man-years
NOK 200,000 for over 500 man-years
Other organizations are assessed individually.
The service fee is index-adjusted every year. In addition, there is a fixed annual fee of NOK 1,000 per member.
