The two most common transport options from Brussels Airport (Zaventem) to the city center are taxi and train.

Taxi: A taxi ride costs around 45 euros and takes between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi company Taxis Autolux, which should be visible at the taxi counter at the airport, offers a discount when booking a return trip. The taxis should take credit cards, but it may be a good idea to confirm this before getting in.

Train: The train station is located on the ground floor of the airport and is well signposted. Gare Central is the most central station, but Gare du Nord and Gare du Midi may also be suitable, depending on where you are staying. The train journey takes between 15 and 20 minutes and costs 9.50 euros.

Taxi

A taxi ride costs around 40 euros and takes between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi company Taxis Autolux, which should be visible at the taxi counter at the airport, offers a discount when booking a round trip. Some taxis take credit cards. Ask the person in charge of the taxi queue or the driver about this before you get in.

Airport bus

You can take airport bus line 12 or 21 from the airport. When you come out of the baggage claim area, walk diagonally to the right and take the escalator or elevator down to level 0. It is well signposted, and the bus stop is right in front of you.

Get off at Schuman, which is directly opposite Norway House. The bus ride takes between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The ticket costs about 6 euros if you buy it on the bus, and 4.50 euros if you buy it from a machine at the bus stop. On the bus you can only pay in cash.

Train

If you are going to Norway House, you can take the train from the airport to Brux./Bru.-Schuman. The train leaves about twice an hour from the train station on the ground floor of the airport. The journey takes between 15 and 20 minutes and costs about 9 euros. You can buy a ticket at a machine at the airport. See the timetables here.

Subway

The metro is the fastest and most affordable transport option from Brussels city centre to the VNB office in Norway House. Take metro line 1 or 5 in the direction of Stockel or Hermann-Debroux. The journey takes just under ten minutes. Get off at Schuman and take the stairs in the same direction the train was going when you entered the station.

A metro ride costs around 2 euros, and you can easily buy a ticket at a vending machine. It is also possible to pay with a contactless payment card.

If you or your colleagues travel to Brussels frequently, they can purchase an impersonal MOBIB Basic card for 5 euros. The card acts as a travel card that they can top up with the desired number of trips at discounted prices.
