Kvinherad municipality is located in Sunnhordland, with Folgefonna, fjord landscapes and large natural resources as a basis for value creation and social development. The municipality has about 13,000 inhabitants and long traditions in power production, process industry and nature-based business.

Kvinnherad has a broad economic base with particular strengths in renewable energy, industry, maritime industries, agriculture, aquaculture and tourism. The municipality is actively working towards green transition and sustainable development in collaboration with business, research and public actors.

Through membership in West Norway Brussels Office strengthens Kvinnherad municipality the connection to Europe and gain access to insight, networks and opportunities for international cooperation that support local and regional development.
